Various concurrent and predictive validation studies were conducted in South Africa during the period 1994 to 2004. The purpose was to test whether the Potentia System was fair i.e. it did not discriminate against race or sex and it identified people with leadership capabilities.
The results of these studies showed that there was often almost no difference in the scores between the different race groups. Where there are differences they would not be considered statistically significant or discriminatory. This would again, as in previous studies of fairness conducted in SA, demonstrate that Potentia does not discriminate on the basis of race or sex.
